The Proposal
Hi All! Welcome to my blog.
I have decided to join and share my experiences about getting engaged and planning a wedding.
I am not one of those girls that have thought about their dream wedding day from the age of five. In fact I hadn’t really put much thought into getting married at all (not that I didn’t ever want to get married, more that I didn’t think it was going to happen anytime soon).
Well in mid December I received a bit of a shock. My boyfriend cooked a nice roast then after dinner got down on one knee and proposed. It was completely unexpected and a real surprise. I definitely didn’t expect it! I didn’t even know he had a ring! It is gorgeous and fit perfectly! 
So I said yes and after the elation and initial excitement of telling the family, then came the fear and uncertainty – not of the prospect of getting married, but at the planning of the wedding! It’s a big event and not really something you can slap together in a rush. Where to start? What to do? The Expense!!
So here we are at the beginning of my tale… I hope you join me along the way and add your comments or I can somehow be of help if you find yourself in the same position.
